Appeal From Max Igan

Relayed from Max Igan & TheCrowhouse

Unfortunately, my 19 year old son Daniel is amongst those who have been devastated by this past weeks flooding in the Australian town of Bundaberg.

The ground floor unit he was renting has been totally flooded, as high as about a foot into the 1st floor unit above him, and his unit has been completely underwater for the last 3 days and is still completely submerged. He is currently keeping a close eye on water levels in the hope of gaining access to his unit before any looters arrive as there are typically many bands of looters taking advantage of the situation. When the floods hit, my son managed to escape the waters with his laptop, his monitor, 3 books and 2 changes of clothes but has lost everything else in the floods.

He is 19 years old, has been there for around 18 months now and this was his first home away from his parents. He has lost all his clothes, 2 computers, his guitar and amp, all his furniture, literally hundreds of books and collectors edition of various types, his car, all his personal effects… everything he owns, except what he could carry… including his accomodation.

My son Daniel has Aspergers syndrome, he feels very secure in the familiarity of his surroundings and he has lost that now. Essentially, he has lost everything he knew to be his life. He is being very strong but I feel the anguish in his voice, though perhaps I feel it so much more because he is my son… If you have ever felt a desire to donate to the crowhouse or to help anyone less fortunate than yourself, then I ask you to please consider offering a contribution to my son in this time of need. It would truly mean a great deal to me.

The email address for his paypal is Iganrowe@hotmail.com

If you are able to help in anyway, I offer you my most humble and most sincere thanks from the very bottom of my heart.
